Puri: Lucas Meslar, a student from Germany came here to research on the service and traditions related to Lord Jagannath. However, along with it, now he is in love with ‘Kalia’, the name by which devotees fondly call Lord Jagannath.
“The more I am getting to know about the Lords, the more I am falling in love with them,” Lucas said while added that his curiosity to know about the history and architecture of Jagannath temple keeps growing.
He makes it a point to move around the pilgrim city, visiting mutts, other temples and places having any connection with the Lords.
When asked how he fell in love with the Lord Jagannath, he says, “I happened to read a book on Lord Jagannath. Then the curiosity has brought me here.”
Saturday he visited Kumbharpada where the potter communities prepare earthen pots for the temple. When asked what attracted him to the Kumbharpada, he says, “During my research on Mahaprasad, I came to know about the role of these earthen pots. I am here to acquire more knowledge on how these pots are prepared.”
