Barbil: A 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with her own stole at Chatei Hanti village under Barbil police limits of Keonjhar district late Monday night.
On being informed, local police reached the spot Tuesday morning and sent the body for postmortem.
After post mortem, the body was handed over to the family. While the exact reason behind the minor taking to the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, police have started investigation into it.
An unnatural death case has been lodged in this context.
