Group clash erupts in Khurda district, 12 critically injured

Khurda: At least twelve persons were critically injured in a bloody clash that ensued between two groups Sunday night at Damanabhuin village under Jankia police limits in Khurda district.

According to a source, the group clash erupted owing to past enmity in Damanabhuin village under Olasingh panchayat here. Villagers from both sides have sustained grievous injuries in the clash.

The two groups had a heated exchange of words over stopping a stone-laden truck in the morning. Later in the day, a villager named Kalia Bhola forcibly barged into the house of another villager Ranjan Bhola. Kalia attacked the family members with sharp weapons.
