Hindi cinema actor Aditya Pancholi celebrates his 56th birthday today.
Ever since making his debut in Indian entertainment back in the 1980s, Aditya’s career has been marred with some shocking controversies.
On the occasion of his birthday, let us revisit some of the dark chapters of Aditya’s life.
Threatens car mechanic
A non-cognisable offence was registered against actor Aditya Pancholi Back in January, 2019 for allegedly abusing and threatening a car mechanic over the issue of bill payment.
The incident came to light when the 47-year-old car mechanic, Mosin Kadar Rajapkar, approached the Versova police station in western suburbs and lodged a complaint against the actor.
According to the complaint, Pancholi had given his luxury car for servicing and repairing to Rajapkar in March 2017. Rajapkar gave a bill of Rs 2.82 lakh against the job done by him.
The mechanic had been asking the 54-year-old actor to clear the bill, but the latter allegedly ignored the demand.
The mechanic, when he followed up for clearance of the bill, the actor abused him over phone and personally, and also threatened him, said Ravindra Badgujar, senior inspector of the Versova police station.
Pub brawl
Aditya was arrested in 2015 for a brawl in a pub but was later granted bail by a Mumbai magistrate.
According to police, Aditya assaulted a security guard at the pub. The incident occurred at the Trilogy Pub in Sea Princess, adjacent to Juhu Beach.
An allegedly inebriated Aditya asked the DJ to play some favourite Hindi movie songs since only western numbers were being played, but the DJ rejected his request.
Aditya had a loud argument with the DJ and even caused some damage to the pub counter, following which the hotel security staff intervened and asked the actor to leave the premises.
Enraged by this, Aditya abused and pushed the security guard, Mandar Patole (28), and whacked him on the head with his mobile even as he was being escorted out of the hotel.
Rape accusation
The Mumbai Police back in 2019 lodged a rape case against Aditya on a complaint filed by a well-known actress.
However, at the outset the police have said that the charges will be difficult to prove as the incident happened 10 years ago.
The Versova Police lodged a first information report under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and launched a probe into the actress’ complaint. Sources said that Versova police station had registered a case vide CR no 198/2019 U/s 376, 328, 384, 341, 342, 323, 506 IPC.
Earlier the actress had gone on record and said that Aditya had raped her when she was just 17 years old. The actress said that she had gone to the police, but no action had been taken against him. She had also alleged she was in forced relationship with him and the latter used to sexually and mentally harass her.
