Mumbai: Shamitabh actress Akshara Haasan turns 28 today. Introduced as the darling daughter of legendary thespian Kamal Haasan, it hardly took any time for the talented actress to prove her mettle and carve a niche for herself.

Akshara made her debut as an actress in Shamitabh, opposite Tamil superstar Dhanush, which also had Amitabh Bachchan. She was also seen in Ajith Kumar in Vivegam.
Akshara’s second Hindi film was Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana. However, Akshara did not get much success even after debuting with Amitabh Bachchan.
Akshara was born 12 October 1991 in Chennai. Akshara has an elder sister – Shruti Haasan who is a well known in Tollywood as well as in the Hindi film industry.
Akshara started her career as an assistant director. Akshara declined several offers of films during the career of assistant director. She is a great actress as well as a screen writer.
Earlier, a few hackers had hacked her mobile phone and leaked her private pictures. In early 2017, there were reports that Akshara has converted her religion and had shown interest in Buddhism. Its teaching and principles impressed her after which she converted to Buddhism.
