Despite being a very successfully woman, Asha Parekh never married. She remained single throughout her life.
In an interview Asha said, “Marriage is not written in my luck. I’m happy being single.” It is said that Asha’s image was such that, no one dared to reach her to ask her hand for marriage.
However, there have been other versions for her staying single forever. As per reports, she was associated with Aamir Khan’s uncle and director Nasir Hussain. Although no one knows the truth about those reports, but Asha revealed in an interview that she had a boyfriend for a long time and it was none other than director Nasir Hussain.
On not being able to marry Nasir Hussain, Asha had said in an interview that she did not want Nasir to get separated from his family, due to which she did not marry. Asha and Dharmendra’s love chemistry was also a huge hit on screens those days.
Do you know that Asha was once removed from a film after shooting for two days? This was the incident that took place in the beginning of her career. Asha in an interview said, “I worked with Vijay Bhatt in Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu as child artist. When I was 16 years old, he offered me Goonj Uthi Shehnai (1959) and said that he is giving me the role of heroine. But after two days of shooting, Vijay said there was no star quality in this girl and fired me from the film.”
