Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Rakhi’s childhood has been full of struggle. Rakhi started her film career in 1997. At the age of just 10, she served food to people at Tina Ambani’s wedding for only 50 rupees.
Rakhi belonged to a family where women or girls at home did not have freedom.
When Rakhi was 11 years old, she insisted her mother go to Dandiya Dance. Then her mother and maternal uncle got angry and cut short of Rakhi’s long hair.
