Mumbai: Hindi film actress Tanushree Dutta turns a year older today.
Born 19 March 1984 in Jamshedpur, she made her debut with the 2005 film Aashiq Banaya Aapne. She received immense popularity from this film and also hit the headlines for her intimate and bold scenes.
The film also starred actor Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. After this film, she worked with almost every big actor at that time. But her films couldn’t do well at the box office. She has also acted in Telugu and Tamil films but did not get as much success.

She remained active till the year 2010 and after that she distanced herself from films. This distance made her desperate and she went into depression. To avoid mental tension, she chose spirituality. Tanushree revealed in an interview that while going through mental stress that she got a book from Sadhguru.
This book inspired her to grow spirituality and after that she went to many vipassana centres in Coimbatore and Ladakh. She saw many female ascetics there and after that she decided to get her hair shaved.
The actress, who once had really long and luscious hair, expressed her desire to go bald, “I have always wanted to shave my head, but I haven’t shaved it off completely yet. I have been scared and worried because in a country like India women don’t really shave their head just for fun.”
However, with the passing of time everything started to become normal in Tanushree’s life. She has been active on social media since the year 2018. She now lives in the US permanently and f visits India frequently.
