Bhubaneswar: Even as the southwest monsoon has subdued over Odisha, several places in the state are likely to witness heavy rains and thunderstorm during the next four days from Wednesday.
Thunderstorm with lightning may occur in as any as 19 districts in the state over the next five days, weather bulletin issued by the IMD regional centre Bhubaneswar forecasted this morning.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Khurda districts till Wednesday.
One or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Puri, Nayagarh, Koraput and Rayagada district are likely to experience thunderstorm with lightning, IMD has forecasted for Thursday.
Heavy rainfall is also likely to lash one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore during this period.
Likewise for Friday, the regional centre has predicted thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
Similar weather conditions will prevail at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts during Saturday and Sunday.
The Monday forecast includes heavy rainfall at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur.
