Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Wednesday predicted heavy rainfall in most parts of the state for two days from September 20.
“A cyclonic circulation formed over the east-central Bay of Bengal along the Myanmar coast will turn into a low-pressure Wednesday and is most likely to concentrate into a depression in the morning next day,” the regional meteorological centre said in a release.
Under its influence, very heavy downpour would occur in Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati and Koraput districts September 20.
Nuapada, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi districts are likely to get heavy rain September 21.
The weatherman cautioned the fishermen not to venture into the sea till September 22 due to the inclement weather.
