Bhubaneswar: Wife of former Odisha Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang and former Lok Sabha MP and BJD leader Hema Gamang Friday resigned from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). She sent her resignation to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, it was learnt.
Hema Gamang was elected to Lok Sabha in 1999 on a Congress ticket. She joined the BJD prior to 2014 polls. She was fielded as the BJD candidate from Laxmipur in the assembly elections the same year, which she but lost.
