Herbal Holi event to host Bollywood celebs

BHUBANESWAR: held a press conference at a city hotel regarding Herbal Holi 2019 which will be organised at Hotel Kalinga Ashoka March 20.

During the meet, Swapna Pati, chairperson, Swapnapati Foundation, said, “Each year, my foundation organises a Herbal Holi event in collaboration with Rushi house which is a breakthrough programme at times of unchecked chemical colour usage. I along with our brand ambassador actor Sabyasachi Mishra will perform on welcome dance number for all the guests.”

“This programme is being organised for everyone whoever is interested in celebrating a herbal version of Holi. Multiple celebs from the Hindi cinema industry will participate in the event. As a responsible citizen, I request youngsters and general public to stay away from any kind of addiction during this event.”

Actor Sabyasachi Mishra said, “I am huge fan of herbal Holi. The real brand ambassador is Swapna who has toiled hard to make this concept popular. Besides, Rajesh Mohanty has also worked towards popularising this event. Its important to stay away from chemicals and save your skin.”

“I am very proud to be associated with this event. I expect more people to join this event. This time, the colours will be made from sandalwood, flowers and from other natural products. Holi is a celebration of happiness amidst people and it will be reflected widely at this special event.”

Special flowers will be flown in from metro cities so that fresh colors of Holi can be made by color makers. Special ‘Karigars’ have also arrived who will make natural colors which are suited for children’s skin.

The event will also witness the participation of differently abled children as well as participation of many eminent personalities. Each guest will be identified before entering the premise during the security check. Students of every institution would also be invited. A special dance performance by differently abled students would be an added attraction. Besides, all kinds of goodies will be given to them to enjoy the event.

It may be noted here that SwapnaPati initiated India’s first herbal Holi celebrations in Bhubaneswar. She has been organizing the event since the last six years where people play with eco-friendly powders and pastes which are natural extracts of  flowers, vegetables and minerals and colours made from petals of rose, marigold, hibiscus and bougainvillea, sandalwood, henna, tesu, turmeric, multani mitti, spinach and indigo, to name a few.
