Much awaited OnePlus TV was launched Thursday to wide fanfare. CEO Pete Lau, in his address during the launch, claimed it to be a premium android TV that combines imagination and intelligence to seamlessly connect mobile and home networks for the future of interconnectivity.
Here is all you want to know about the TV.
First thing first. Most of you must have been wondering about the price, variants and availability. Here is some solace to your hearts. There are two models, the TV Q1 and TV Q1 Pro which are priced at INR 69,900 and INR 99,900 respectively. Both OnePlus models will be available in Amazon India starting September 28.
OnePlus claims that the TVs have been crafted to deliver a smarter, more intuitive and seamless internet experience through the integration of the most advanced software and hardware available. It follows the company’s minimalist design philosophy. The body boasts a slim unified profile with a nearly bezel-less screen and a moving sound bar offering an immersive and riveting home entertainment experience.
The 55-inch 4K QLED displays used in these TVs are capable of delivering a vivid and dynamic picture quality. With a very high color range of NTSC 120%, images and videos are always rendered in crisp quality and more vibrant colors. And with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, images displayed are constantly optimized on a scene-by-scene basis, rendering more detail and better color accuracy across all content, the company claimed.
OnePlus TV houses a powerful Gamma Color Magic chipset to help with picture processing and rendering. The platform works by using a collection of carefully optimized algorithms to deliver smoother, clearer and more natural viewing experience with videos, regardless of their source.
What makes the experience even better is the presence of a powerful 50W 8-speaker setup to deliver the most dynamic and three-dimensional soundstage: 4 full-range front-facing speakers, 2 front-facing tweeters for the highs and 2 rear sub-woofers for the bass deliver a richer and more immersive audio experience. Powered by Dolby Atmos for a cinematic sound, it is able to provide a surreal surround sound experience, bringing normally unheard audio clarity to life.
The OnePlus TV is powered by Android TV for a seamless transition from our devices to the big screen. It offers both Google Assistant and Alexa in its TVs. Advanced integrations through the OnePlus Connect app provides users with additional features such as TypeSync, Quick App Switch, Smart Volume Control, Screenshots and more to enjoy a simpler and more intuitive smart living experience. These apart, Amazon, Sun NXT, Voot, Netflix, Eros Now, and YuppFlix will offer Dolby Vision support on the OnePlus TV.
