Hero Moto plans to sell 2.52 lakh units this fiscal

Post News Network, Bhubaneswar, Jan 28: The leading two wheeler manufacturer Hero Moto Corporation limited (HMCL) plans to sell 2.52 lakh units in the state by the end of this fiscal, an official of the company said here, Wednesday.

“The company is planning to sell 2.52 lakh units in the state by the end of this fiscal. The company has already sold 1.68 lakh units as against the total sale of 3.33 lakh two wheeler units in state,” HMCL senior area service manager, N Ramani said while launching the ‘Mega Service Camp’, which is scheduled to be held between January 30 and February 1.

Talking about the service camp Ramani said vehicles of Hero and Hero Honda make can only avail of the services provided in the mega camp. The two wheelers will be provided free pollution check-ups, insurance facilities and other free services.

“The customer will be provided with various free services together with the insurance facility. The company also plans to offer five per cent discount on spare parts as well 10 per cent discount on engine oil. We are expecting 4,500 to 5000 units to avail the service in the camp,” he said.

Talking about the market share of the company Ramani said the company has an overall market share of more than 50 per cent in state. He also said in the motorcycle segment the company has a market share of more 63 per cent in state.
