Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education department Monday announced that the spot selections for the degree colleges across Odisha for the academic year 2020-21 will start November 9. A notification has already been issued in this regard.
Students under the following categories will be eligible for spot admission:
- Those who had submitted the CAF online, but could not deposit the CAF fees.
- Those who had submitted the CAF online, deposited the CAF fees, but were not be selected during the first and second selections.
- Those who had submitted the CAF online, deposited the CAF fees and were selected, but could not take admission.
- Those who had taken admission during 1st or 2nd selections, but now want to change their colleges or subjects or both.
However, new applicants will not be entertained, the department said in the notification.
The department will release vacant seats both subject and category-wise November 9, 2020 in the websites like www.dheodisha.gov.in and www.samsodisha.gov.in.
The applicants can submit their application forms in ‘drop box facility’ November 10 to November 13, 4.00pm. The list of shortlisted candidates for admission will be published by respective colleges on their notice board by 3.00pm November 17. The selected candidates can deposit their admission fees by logging into SAMS website from 11.45pm, November 21. The admission of the students at the respective colleges where they have been selected will be done between November 23 and November 27, 6.00pm.
