‘Higher education to be more vibrant utilising 5T’

Bhubaneswar: A workshop-cum-orientation programme for principals of government and non-government aided colleges, and teachers of educational institutions was held at the Convention Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan here, Wednesday. Vice-chancellors of three universities and 370 principals of government-aided and non-government-aided colleges participated in the workshop. The prime objective of the workshop was to foster dialogue among the key stakeholders in the higher education sector in the state on various topics ranging from financial schemes to technical advancements.

Presiding over the workshop cum-orientation programme, Higher Education Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak said, “The field of higher education in the state will be more vibrant utilising the 5Ts. Odisha has excelled in food security and sports. We will achieve all-round excellence in the higher education sector by our unified approach.” Mo College chairman Akash Das Nayak said, “Education is our valuable resource based on which we will be able to translate the dream of our Chief Minister into reality. Alumni of all colleges must come forward and contribute towards this process of transformation.” 5T Secretary VK Pandian said the Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 1,000 crore for infrastructure development of the colleges in the first phase.
