Mumbai: Ranu Mondal’s journey which started from a railway station to the Hindi film industry has been fantastic.
A video featuring her singing at the Ranaghat railway station in West Bengal went viral on social media. She was spotted singing Lata Mangeshkar’s ‘Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai’ and there has been no looking back for Ranu ever since.
Videos of Ranu even enthralled the biggest celebrities in the film industry. She appeared in Himesh Reshammiya’s reality show ‘Superstar Singer’. It was there where Himesh gave her a chance to sing in his romantic comedy film ‘Happy Hardy and Heer’. Himesh recorded a song with Ranu and also shared a video.

As soon as the video hit social media, many praised Himesh for giving Ranu a once in a lifetime opportunity. However, the whole episode also gave birth to a barrage of hilarious memes. In these memes, many users made videos imitating Himesh and Ranu.

During an interview, Himesh said, “Today I met Ranu ji. Her voice is gift of God. I could not resist myself from offering her songs. In his upcoming film Happy Hardy and Heer, he gave her a chance, so that the whole world could hear his voice. I will help in spreading his voice to the people.”
