Malkangiri: The headmaster and an assistant teacher of a residential school in Malkangiri district were arrested by the police for allegedly misbehaving with a Class VII girl student of a residential school in Dangala area under Sadar block, Tuesday.
Besides, the two have also been suspended from their post by the district administration.
The matter came to light after the minor girl lodged a complaint with the District Collector and police alleging misbehaviour by the headmaster Prabhat Lakra and assistant teacher Ajay Kumar Das of the residential school, a few days ago.

Taking note of the report, police have arrested the accused persons after direction of the district collector.
Acting swiftly, the district Collector had directed childline officials for an enquiry into the matter. Following which, the two school officials were detained by the police today.
