Sajanagad: A home guard was critically wounded in a bear attack in Berhampur area under Nilagiri block in Balasore district Friday night.
According to reports, Home guard Rabindra Majhi was on night duty in the area when a bear came from nowhere and attacked him.
He sustained grievous wounds on his right hand. Profusely bleeding, he screamed for help. Other staff, who were nearby, rushed to his rescue and admitted him to a hospital.
