Home remedies to get rid of bad odor from clothes

Sweating is a part of our daily lives as a way for our body to prevent itself from overheating. Thanks to the hot weather in our country, though, our sweat glands go on overdrive, thus producing an excess of bad bacteria. These bad bacteria then produce unwanted body odor that could bring down a person’s confidence.

At the same time, our sweat clothes also produce bad odor. Luckily, if you just look around your house, you’ll find several remedies that could leave you smelling fresh all day. Some home remedies can help you get rid of bad odor from clothes.

If for some reason you are not able to wash the clothes every day, then do not leave them in the same bag. Put clothes to dry in the sun, this will destroy the bacteria of clothes, and will not cause any bad odor from clothes.

To wash clothes, take water in a bucket, then soak clothes and add big spoon vinegar in it. Leave it for 20 minutes then wash the clothes. The smell of clothes will be removed from vinegar.

Some people also keep clothes in their bags along with shoes. But take care when placing your shoes in the bag in which you keep clothes, because shoes can also cause bad odor, which can make your clothes smell more. Be sure to wash your shoes at least twice a week. If then also clothes smells soak your clothes in some good aromatic washing powder for some time and then wash them again.

Baking soda has been widely used as an effective all-around cleansing agent. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with a tablespoon of lemon or calamansi juice, apply the paste on your underarms and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing.

Aside from removing the nasty smell from your armpits, the acidity in lemon could also help whiten your underarms. Rub a slice of lemon on your armpits every night to get rid of your body odor.
