How to know when you are ovulating?

If you are trying to conceive, it is advisable that you keep track of your ovulation. While there are numerous apps that can easily help you track the days, many symptoms in your body will also help you to know about it.

Women normally experience pain in their breast or increased tenderness when they are ovulating. It feels like your breast size has increased and feels heavy.

Increased Sex drive

If there is an increase in the urge of getting some action in the bedroom, it may point towards the fact that your ovulation period is going on. Usually women get more excited during their ovulation time, compared to during periods.

As per study, girls cannot control themselves during this time and will be more horny.

Pain in lower abdomen

Usually, pain in experienced during periods. However, a nagging pain in your abdomen or even lower back, 14 days before your period, can signify ovulation. The pain is usually on one side of your stomach or lower back.

Change in cervical mucus

The vaginal discharge (mucus) changes in consistency during ovulation. It becomes slippery, stretchy and more watery (a lot like a raw egg white’s consistency). To check your cervical mucus, you need to insert a clean finger inside your vagina, (near the cervix). You can also wipe your vagina with clean tissue/ toiler paper to examine the same.

Your sense of smell increases

A lot of women experience a heightened sense of smell during ovulation. So, don’t mind if you become a super-sniffer during that time of the month.
