Nuapada: A day after five teachers were arrested for circulating the question papers of MIL (Odia) of the High School Certificate (HSC) examination, two more people were held Sunday.
They were allegedly involved in the posting and sharing of the question papers on the social media. The two have been identified as Sarbagyan Supakar, assistant teacher of Kerapadar High School under Boden police limits, and his nephew Gyanadutt Supakar. A case was registered and the two were produced in a court, it was learnt.
Earlier, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) had suspended 11 teachers and centres’ in-charge and lodged FIRs against nine of them.
A day earlier, the police arrested two superintendents and three invigilators in this connection. The arrested persons include, superintendent PK Pati and invigilators Mukunda Sabar and Bighnaraj Supakarl from Karangamal High School and Superintendent Sushil Kumar Joshi and invigilator Arjunajay Panda from Litisergi High School.
On the other hand, the BSE identified four students for their involvement in the question paper leak and debarred them from the examination.
The Board, meanwhile, has directed examination centres’ in-charge to take precautionary measures to prevent recurrence of the incident in the remaining papers.
According to sources, Odia question paper went viral from two schools in Nuapada district and one each from Dhenkanal and Koraput districts. Moreover, irregularities were found at an exam centre in Jagatsinghpur district.
However, the incident cannot be labelled as question paper leak as the examinees saw the images after the examinations, the BSE president had said.
