I had a gala time in HWC2018 grand finale: Sachin

Bhubaneswar: Cricket god Sachin Tendulkar had a gala time in the Hockey World Cup 2018 finale between Belgium and Netherlands in Kalinga Stadium.

The Master Blaster was touched as fans cheered and the whole stadium echoed with his name as fans shouted called out his name Sachin Sachin. The atmosphere reminded him of the time when he played cricket. He seemed very happy during the match.

Finally, he also handed over the best player of the tournament award. Earlier, the Master Blaster had tweeted that he would fly to the Capital city.

Seated in the VIP gallery, Sachin was seen engrossed in light moments with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Governor Ganeshi Lal. He wrote on Twitter, acknowledging Odisha Government and the Chief Minister’s efforts to conduct the grand international sporting event in India.

The humble cricketing legend reciprocated to his fan’s cheer with grace and generosity. Every moderate gesture made by Sachin resulted in a thunderous encore.

Sachin was seen clicking pictures of the crowd and ‘selfies’ from the VIP gallery. Sachin tweeted: “Crazy atmosphere at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar for the Men’s #HWCFinal2018! Loving the energy and the passion for hockey in this stunning stadium!”

“I’m very happy to see so many people loving and encouraging hockey. I loved Bhubaneswar and the fans. I’m speechless. I’m highly indebted to Naveen Patnaik for welcoming me to witness the event,” Sachin said.
