iBall to achieve Rs 4.5cr monthly turnover

Post News Network, Bhubaneswar, Jan 28: iBall, the electronics company, hopes to achieve a monthly turnover of Rs 4.5 crore, by next year, through sales of handsets, a top official of the company said.

“The company is hoping a monthly turnover of Rs 4.5 crore through selling handsets by next year; we will also be launching some more handsets in the state,” iBall branch chief executive officer (Orissa branch), KS Das said while launching the mobile phones here, Wednesday.

Talking during the launch of the new handsets, Das said the company is launching three handsets – Cobalt Solus, an android based handsetset, Pulse, a window based smart phone and Elegance, a feature phone. While the price of the Solus is Rs 11,500 and the price of the Pulse is Rs 6,000.

Talking about the performance of the company Das said the current monthly turnover of the company in handsets is Rs 1.5 crore. In handsets the company possesses a market share of 80 to 90 per cent in state, he said.

“In IT products segments the company owns a market share of 40 per cent in state. The company sells 1200 to 1500 tablets every month. The company also hopes to increase the figure to 2000-2500 in 2015,” he added.
