Identical twin nurses help woman deliver pair of identical twin babies; See adorable pics

Athens: In what could be one of the greatest co-incidences, a pair of identical twin nurses helped deliver a pair of identical twin babies.

Twin sisters, identified as Tori Howard and Tara Drinkard, have been working at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Georgia for quite some time.

Despite working in the same hospital, the two sisters never got the opportunity to work together. But they knew that at some point, the stars would align and both of them will get a chance to work in the delivery room together.

As per the hospital rules at Pedmont Athens Regional, when expectant mothers deliver babies that need to be transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), nurses from different teams are present to assist with the process.

As luck would have it, Tori who works with the NICU was paired with Tara who worked at the emergency room in the labour and delivery department. As one nurse is required for one baby, in case of twins, both Tori and Tara were needed.

The two sisters got to know about their task an hour before Rebecca Williams was to deliver twin babies.

Rebecca gave birth to Addison and Emma Williams September 25, 2019.

Born three minutes apart, pictures of the twin babies with the twin sisters set the internet on fire. The happy parents said that they would like to keep in touch with Tori and Tara and would heed their advice on how to raise twins.
