Rourkela: A critically ill mother, who suffered severe bleeding or postpartum hemorrhage post delivery was saved by the doctors of Ispat General Hospital (IGH). A 29-year-old woman of Relaposh village under Nuagaon block here delivered a child at Bisra community health centre July 18. In a critical state, she was shifted to two other private hospitals but to no avail.
Almost on the verge of collapsing and in pain, she was brought to Ispat General Hospital (IGH). She was immediately admitted into ICU with breathing difficulty due to altered sensorium. The doctors put her on a mechanical ventilator and kept her under critical care observation, round the clock. She responded to all the medical interventions being carried out on her and finally showed signs of recovery. After six days she was finally shifted to the ward July 24. However, the doctors did not allow her to be discharged and continued to keep her under observation. Finally, she was released a few days back.
