Chennai: The deadline for registrations of the Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) 2024 has been extended till October 20 by IIT Madras.
Students who are interested in appearing for IIT JAM 2024 can apply for the entrance examination before October 13, 2023.
Notably, the registration cycle for IIT JAM 2024 examination began September 5, 2023. This year IIT Madras is conducting the examination.
Interested students fulfilling all the eligibility criteria can apply at the official website — jam.iitm.ac.in.
According to the official notification, students can download the admit cards till January 8, 2024 and the examination will be held February 11. The results are expected to be declared March 22, 2024.
Students currently who are in the final year of the undergraduate programme or those who have already completed their undergraduate degree are eligible to apply for IIT JAM 2024 examination, the notification read.
IIT JAM 2024 Registration: How to apply
Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT JAM at jam.iitm.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the IIT JAM 2024 registration link available on the home page.
Step 3: To register, fill in the details and click on the submit button.
Step 4: Once done, log in to your account using the credentials.
Step 5: Fill out the application form with the required details and upload the required documents.
Step 6: Pay the application fee.
Step 7: At last, submit and download the application form.

IIT JAM 2024 Registration: Fee structure
For female, SC, ST and PwD candidates the application fee for one paper is Rs 900 and for two papers is Rs 1250.
For all other candidates, Rs 1,800 for one paper and Rs 2,500 for two papers.
What is the IIT JAM Exam?
IIT JAM is a nationwide entrance examination conducted for admission to MSc and various other postgraduate programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and integrated PhD programs at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, as well as other government-funded institutions. The scores achieved in the annual IIT JAM examination held in February determine the eligibility of candidates for admission to a diverse range of courses.
