Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) Wednesday issued Orange Warning for seven districts and Yellow Warning for another eight districts of the state.
According to the mid-day bulletin released by the centre, the districts with Orange Warning are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rains over next 24 hours, while the districts with Yellow Warning are likely to experience heavy rains over the same period.
The districts with Orange Warning are – Bhadrak, Jajpur, Balasore, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over these districts in next 24 hours.
The districts with Yellow Warning are – Angul, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurdha, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda. Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over these districts in next 24 hours.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Odisha during the same period, the agency said.
Capital city of Bhubaneswar will experience generally cloudy sky with few spells of rain and thundershower in the meantime. Maximum and minimum temperature here is very likely to be around 30 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
