IMD issues ‘yellow’ warning for six districts

Bhubaneswar:  Six districts are likely to experience minimum range rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm Monday and have been issued ‘yellow’ warning, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department said.

Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Balasore are the six districts to witness rains, lightning, thunderstorm and gale. The people of these districts have been warned to remain alert throughout the day.

Koraput received a maximum 26mm and Keonjhar 20.4mm rainfall by Sunday evening.
