IMD predicts more rains over next 5 days

Bhubaneswar:  The regional centre of India Meteorological Centre (IMD) in Bhubaneswar Friday predicted rains to continue across the state over next five days.

The IMD centre has issued a yellow warning for 11 districts of the state suggesting thunderstorm and lightning in these areas over next 24 hours.

According to the afternoon bulletin of the centre, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha in next 24 hours.

It has also predicted thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurdha, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sundargarh and Sambalpur.

Meanwhile, the weather in the capital city of Bhubaneswar is likely to remain partly cloudy with one or two spells of rain and thundershower. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 33 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
