IMFA gives away fruit saplings to farmers

Therubali: The Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) plant distributed fruit saplings to farmers at an event here in Rayagada district.

The IMFA plant head and senior general manager KV Rao who joined as chief guest gave away mango, coconut and other fruit saplings to several small and marginal farmers of Therubali, Kartikaguda, Keliguda, Khedapada and Dumuriguda panchayats in the presence of their village heads.

IMFA public relations head Shakti Prasad Panigrahi explained the camp’s objectives to the fruit farmers at the programme.

Ajay Kumar Behuria, deputy general manager, human resources and administration, civil department head Gyan Ranjan Pattnaik and environmentalist Gourav Moharana were present among others at the programme.

Notably, IMFA as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative undertakes various programmes in and around Therubali for the development of art, education, health, sports and environment.
