In this 21st century, everyone has a car or a two-wheeler because of which they do not have to keep their feet on the ground for mobility. And this has led people to suffer from various health problems.
To promote footsteps, there is a country where bank has added the footsteps program with the interest rate.
Actually, the open mono bank in Ukraine has linked its interest rate to the pedestrian. There is a condition in it that at least 10,000 steps have to be walk on daily basis. The customer who fulfills the goal of walking according to the norms of the bank is provided with 21 per cent interest in his/her savings account.
But if someone walks less than 10,000 steps for three successive days, then he gets only 11 per cent interest rate. The norms seem pretty attractive, but one has to walk a lot to get the interest money.
It is also said that 50 percent of the bank’s customers are getting 21 percent interest rate. Over the past three years, the bank has succeeded in connecting five lakh customers with it. With this many customers are happy that they walk to meet the goal daily.
Under this initiative, bank customers have to download a health app in their mobile phone. This app monitors the everyday physical activity of the customer.
Actually, the number of people with obesity problems in Ukraine is quite large. About 400 people die from heart disease in every one lakh people. Such programs might give people a double benefit.
