Indo-Asian News Service, New Delhi, Jan 23: India has announced a one-day national mourning Saturday to pay respect to Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud who died Friday.
The national flag will be flown at half mast throughout the day across India.
“His majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, custodian of the two holy mosques, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has passed away. As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, the government of India has decided that there will be one day’s national mourning January 24,” an official statement said.
“The national flag will be flown at half mast January 24 throughout India and there will be no official entertainment on the day,” the statement added.
