India win the toss, elect to bat against Sri Lanka in 3rd ODI

Colombo: India have won the toss and have elected to bat against Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI which is to start in a short while at the Premadasa Stadium here. India have already won the three-match series having built an unassailable 2-0 lead. They won the first game by seven wickets and scripted a thrilling three-wicket win in the second ODI thanks to a brilliant maiden half-century by Deepak Chahar.

With the series already sealed, India have decided to induct fresh blood in the final game of the ODI series. There are six changes to the side with five of those included making their ODI debut. The five ODI debutants are Nitish Rana, Rahul Chahar, Chetan Sakariya, K Gowtham and Sanju Samson. Paceman Navdeep Saini has also been included in the playing XI.

India will look to definitely make a clean sweep in the series. Stand-in Shikhar Dhawan exuded confidence ahead of the game. He said that in international cricket there is no room to relax.
