Indian temple where a bike is worshipped

There are many miraculous temples in the country where many different kinds of Gods are worshiped, but today we will tell you about such a unique temple where a bike is worshiped instead of a deity.

The name of this temple is Om Banna or Bullet Baba. It is located in Pali district near Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Every day nearby villagers and travelers stop and pray to the bike and its late owner Om Singh Rathore. Those who pass by stop to bow their heads, leave offerings in honour of the helpful spirit, and some drivers also offer small bottles of alcohol at the site. It is said that a person who does not stop to pray at the shrine is in for a dangerous journey. Devotees also apply the ’tilak’ mark and tie a red thread on the motorbike and local people sing folk songs in the name of Om Banna.

Actually this bike belongs to Om Banna. It is said that this person died here in a road accident after which his bullet was taken to the police station but the automatically get started every night and used to stand on the spot where the accident took place. Police, once again, took the motorcycle, this time emptying its fuel tank and putting it under lock and chain to prevent its removal. Despite their efforts, the next morning it again disappeared and was found at the accident site.

Then one day, Om Banna’s grandmother dreamt that a platform be made for it. Then a temple was built for Om Banna after interacting with the local people. His bullet was kept there. People believe that anyone who comes to this place and asks for something does not go empty handed. All their wishes are fulfilled. This temple is known as ‘Bullet Baba’s Temple.’ It is believed that Om Banna’s spirit helps distressed travellers.
