- Yash’s birth name is Naveen Kumar Gowda. He was born to his father Arun Kumar (who worked as a driver in KSRTC transport service) and mother Pushpa.
- It took a while for Yash to venture into films. He had to prove himself by acting in teleserials in Kannada. His first teleserial was Nanda Gokula, directed by Ashok Kashyap.
- He played a supporting role in director Shashank’s Moggina Manasu for which he won the Best Supporting Actor award.
- His first commercial solo hit came in the form of Modalasala, which hit the theatres in 2010.
- Over the years, he delivered hit films and became one of highest-paid Kannada actors in Sandalwood in the year 2014.
- He has also donned several hats in Sandalwood. He turned singer and rendered two songs ‘Annthamma’ and ‘Annange Love Agide’ in his films Mr and Mrs Ramachari and Masterpiece, respectively.
- It is said that Yash and his wife Radhika Pandit met each other at the shooting spot of teleserial Nanda Gokula.
- Yash and Radhika founded Yasho Marga Foundation which aims in helping the needy people. The couple had invested Rs 4 crores towards the desiltation of the lakes in Koppal district.
- Yash starred in the costliest Kannada movie KGF, which is made on a mammoth budget of Rs 80 crore.
