Mumbai: Much awaited, powerful couple Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal got married December 12 in a private ceremony at the Ambani residence, Antilia in Mumbai.
The venue was lavishly decorated as Isha’s brothers Anant and Akash, father Mukesh and uncle Anil welcomed the baaraat.
Isha dressed in traditional gold lehenga looked every bit ethereal as a bride while Anand completed her in a well-crafted white and gold sherwani.
The affair was attended by Top Indian and international personalities, film and sports icons, business tycoons, political heavyweights and celebrities including Pranab Mukherjee, former US First Lady Hillary Clinton and American political staffer Huma Abedin, Bollywood stars Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Kiran Rao, Amitabh Bachchan and his family, Sachin Tendulkar and his family, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Maharashtra CM Deverndra Fadnavis, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu among other VIP invitees.
The Ambanis hosted pre-wedding festivities in Udaipur. Many Bollywood celebrities were seen performing at the sangeet ceremony. Beyonce was the star performer of the evening who flew down for an exclusive 45 minute performance.
The 27-storied Antilia, said to be one of the most expensive private residences in the world has been decorated like a bride since the past few days. The entire stretch from the main road to the building is being transformed to an exquisite modern day castle befitting the grand celebrations.
