Berhampur: The 23-ft high elephant sculpture made with plastic bottles and scrap items by the students of ITI, Berhampur under the ‘Waste to Wealth’ mantra has won applause and appreciation from the Central government. The elephant sculpture has been recognized as a best practice under the campaign to spread the message of ‘Swachhata’.

As per the information, Berhampur ITI students had built a 23-foot elephant statue inspired by the Prime Minister’s call for “Swachhata Hi Seva” ahead of the Gandhi Jayanti. The statue was built by using 30,000 used plastic bottles and was inaugurated October 1 on the occasion of Swachhata Divas.
