Bhubaneswar: A day after his suspension as the convener of National Students’ Union (NSUI), Itish Pradhan Monday said he would hurl eggs at Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Niranjan Patnaik wherever he goes.
He said that the students’ wing of the Congress will continue its campaign against Niranjan and will stage hunger strike in front of the AICC office in New Delhi.
“The NSUI president is not aware of my suspension. The leader, who has ordered my suspension, has no right to do so. I might have been suspended from the Chhatra Congress, but not from the Congress,” he stated. Itish had earlier accused Niranjan of having ‘sold the Congress’ to BJD.
Pradhan said that Congress is his family and he had never uttered a word against it but had targeted some individuals who are involved in destroying the party.
He alleged while party tickets for recent elections were given to some youths involved in ransacking the Congress Bhawan and statements of some party leaders have demeaned the party earlier, no action has been taken against them.
