Itishree murder case: CBI team begins probe

Rayagada, July 23: On the first day of the CBI’s seventh phase probe of Tikiri sikhya sahayika Itishree Pradhan murder case, inspector DV Mitrawala Thursday went to the district headquarters hospital here to quiz the hospital staff.

Mitrawala spoke to those employees who were present at the hospital on the day of the incident. The inspector returned to the camp office and came back again to the hospital in the afternoon to resume the probe. He was on the hospital premises till this report was filed. According to sources, the hospital staff are being quizzed about the persons who had rushed Itishree to the hospital.

Based on a Supreme Court order, the CBI started a probe in February this year. The sleuths recorded the statements of 85 persons in last six phases.
