Narrating different colourful happenings of college days is a fascinating theme in films. In Bollywood, Karan Johar has explored this subject in some of his blockbusters. Even in Oriya films the same topic has been showcased many a times. Using this ‘hot cake’ topic versatile director Sudhansu Mohan is coming up with his upcoming flick College Time scheduled to release mid-January.
“College Time — an unforgettable rhyme — is a romantic entertainer. The plot revolves around the protagonists who are college students. They fall in love but to succed in their love, face a lot of difficulty. The story follows even after their college time is over,” said Sudhanshu Mohan, director of the film.
Sudhansu has so far directed serious films like Swayamsiddha and Bhaunri. But this time he has stepped into the sphere of entertainment. “The film also has a social message. But unlike my other films, this one is a bit different since it is packed with all the elements of entertainment,” the director added.
The film stars Amlan and Riya in the lead. Besides, veteran Mihir Das also shares screen with his co-actors. The film also stars Deepa Sahu, Abhilash, Ankita, and Biswajit along with three divas from Tollywood, Anusree Ghosh, Rinky Pool and Aisha Khan. Uttam Kumar Panigrahi has produced the film under Gayatri Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Banner. Prasanta Padhy has composed the songs penned by Arun Mantri, Saranarabinda Ojha and Nimai Mohanty. The tracks of the film have been sung by Pamela Jain, Ira Mohanty as well as Bollywood singers like Udit Narayan, Binod Rathore and Javed Ali. The dances have been choreographed by Asim while Raj Sekhar has handled the action sequences. Sanjeeb Mohapatra is the director of photography. The film has been made keeping in view the choice of college-going folk.
