Bhubaneswar: Delhi-based journalist Abhijit Iyer Mitra Saturday deposed before the House panel and also submitted an affidavit on his remarks against MLAs.
“We will examine the statement given by him earlier and the affidavit and, if required, will summon him again,” said chairman of the House panel Narasingha Mishra.
He said the panel would submit its report during the next Assembly session.
Iyer had failed to submit his affidavit to the House committee Friday. The committee gave him one more day as a last chance to submit it. Earlier, Iyer had been asked by the panel to appear before it November 2 and submit the affidavit.
