Mumbai: After the successful combo of Jacqueline and Akshay Kumar in Housefull 3, the two will again share screen space in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. Akshay will play the role of ATS chief Veer in the Rohit Shetty directorial.
While there was lot of speculations about the leading lady, Jacqueline has finally bagged the role as the female lead.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Akshay and the 33-year-old actress will teamed up for a project. The duo has previously wooed the audience with their sizzling chemistry in films Brothers (2015) and Housefull 3 (2016).
Sooryavanshi is a spin-off of Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and is a part of the Rohit Shetty’s Singham universe. Earlier, it was reported that Katrina Kaif has been approached to play Akshay’s leading lady in Sooryavanshi, but brushing off the rumours, Rohit said, “It’s not true’.
Reports even suggested that Akshay’s Padman co-star Sonam Kapoor has been roped in for the film.
