Bhubaneswar: Jaga and Balia the separated conjoined twins of Kandhamal district are recovering fast at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
The twins have been undergoing treatment after a separation surgery on their heads. The doctors at the AIIMS said that the stitches have been removed from their heads. This is obviously a good news for the people of Odisha who have been praying for their speedy recovery since they were admitted to AIIMS.
A photo released by the hospital authorities shows the twin brothers playing and enjoying each other’s company. The doctors at the hospital hope that the twins would completely recover very soon.
In May, the hospital authorities had also released a video of the twins Jaga-Balia showing them in a playful mood and being given oil massage for the first time post surgery.
It may be mentioned here that the twins hailing from Milipada village of Kandhamal district were separated by a team of doctors after a 21-hour surgery in October last year.
