Bhubaneswar: Jagannath Ashtakam, a devotional song album comprising eight verses in praise of Lord Jagannath, was released in Puri, Wednesday. The singers, composer, and producer of the album were all in attendance. It is believed that by reading and hearing the lines of Ashtakam, which were first written by Adi Shankaracharya and recited by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, one receives the grace of Lord Jagannath and entry into Vishnulok. The tracks were created by Starmanch – Kolkata (Randeep Bhattacharya), and recorded at Usha Uthup’s studio Vibrations in Mumbai with vocals provided by Abhijeet Mishra and Jayati Chakraborty. Album’s music was scored by Upali Chattopadhyay.
