Bhubaneswar: Jalada Kumar Tripathy was today sworn in as the new State Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Odisha today.
Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal administered the oath of office to Tripathy in a function organised at the Abhishek Hall of Raj Bhavan.
State Information and Public Relations Department Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi after obtaining permission of the Governor read out the warrant of appointment of the State Chief Information Commissioner.
Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik joined the function through video conferencing.
Chief Secretary, Odisha Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, Principal Secretary to Governor Saswat Mishra, family members of the State Chief Information Commissioner, Director, I and PR Indramani Tripathy, Director (Technical) Niranjan Sethi, and other senior officers of the I & PR Department were present on this occasion.
