Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror has been launched in India. The much-awaited motorcycle from the Czech Republic based motorbike manufacturing company was launched Thursday.
The all-new Indian version of Jawa 42 Bobber, the Black Mirror, comes at price tag of Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle has been given a completely new look with appealing diamond-cut alloy wheels. Jawa was preparing for months to bring their cruiser bike to India.
Interacting with the media at the launch event, Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, said, “With the successful launch of Jawa 42 Bobber last year, we further strengthened our dominance in the Bobber segment. The Bobber stable from our factory custom portfolio has enjoyed an ardent fan following from the riding community in India.”
“The kind of love we received for the 42 Bobber made us push our boundaries in design and engineering to deliver the all-new Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror. Bobbers embody the essence of individuality and distinctiveness; they are an emotional purchase, and the new Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror is a fine example of why Bobbers are so special,” he added.
According to the manufacturer, Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror has been overhauled with new features, latest technologies those will enhance riding experience of customers. The Indian version of Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror is available in 4 appealing colours including Moonstone White, Mystic Copper, Jasper Red Dual Tone, and, Black Mirror.

All new upgrades
Jawa went with a very appealing design for the bike, where they have given a full-black finish to the body, and brilliant chrome finish to the fuel tank, which gives it an elegant touch. The bike has diamond-cut alloy wheels, in contrast to traditional spoked wheels used for bobber segment bikes, aided with tubeless tyres. Along with the cosmetic enhancements, Jawa Black Mirror’s has maintained the slight internal engine modifications that were first revealed in other variations. The RPM was decreased from 1,500 to 1,300 while the throttle bodies’ size was increased from 33mm to 38mm. Upgraded the fuel map along with redesigned gear and engine covers are some other improvements made over the prior model.
Engine Details
Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror is equipped with the same 334cc engine that generates a maximum power output of 29.4bhp and gives a peak torque output of 32.7Nm. It has been overhauled with a 6-speed gearbox to manage transmission duties, accompanied with an Assist and Slipper Clutch for smoother shifts and a lighter clutch action. As additional features, it has a digital console, LED lighting, provided with an adjustable seat, and emergency charging port.
Price and Segment Competition
As mentioned earlier, Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror edition is available at retails for an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.25 lakh. Though there is not any defined competition for Jawa Black Mirror in the Indian market, but still there are a few bikes which can be considered as alternatives, namely Yezdi Roadster, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, as well as the Honda H’ness CB350.
