Bhubaneswar: OSSC (Odisha Staff Selection Commission) has sent show-cause notices to as many as 55 candidates in connection to JE (Civil) examination question paper leak, a notice issued by the agency stated Saturday.
The OSSC notice further stated that efforts are on to link the remaining 37 candidates with their application in co-ordination with Balasore Police. Some more information has been requested from police to help link the candidates with the application.
According to OSSC chairperson Abhay, the commission has demanded explanations from the aspirants asking them why they would not be barred for life from recruitment drives conducted by it.
“OSSC is committed to taking exemplary action against all candidates who are involved in unfair practice, including question leak,” Abhay informed.
The notices were sent based on a recommendation made by Balasore SP Sagarika Nath who is supervising the probe into the question paper leak case.
It was earlier alleged that nearly 88 aspirants paid money to the suspects for getting the question paper prior to the examination.
