Triple murder in Jharsuguda: Missing man found dead in well

Jharsuguda: A day after a woman and her two young daughters were found dead in a Jharsuguda village, the husband — suspected to be the accused — was also found dead Thursday.

According to a source, the husband — identified as Narayan Poddar — had gone missing after bodies of his wife and two minor daughters were found at Phatak Pada area under Brajrajnagar police limits in Jharsuguda district.

Narayan’s body was seen floating in a well near his house Thursday. On being informed by neighbours, Brajrajnagar police reached the spot and fished it out from the well.

Police have detained Narayan’s younger brother Kalakanhu for interrogation in this connection.

It may be mentioned here that Narayan’s wife Soni Poddar (28), her 5-year-old daughter Radhika and 3-year-old daughter Muskan were found dead at Fatakapada area Wednesday.

While the exact cause of death of the four members is yet to be ascertained, a probe is underway, police said while adding that they are considering all possible angles.
