Speaking to Orissa POST, Mishra said, “I feel honoured to be invited as jury at the 58th edition of the festival while the country Czech Republic is celebrating its 100 th year in 2018. I would like to congratulate and thank the artistic director Marketa Pasmova, senior programmer Jaroslava Hynstova and team for this. It will definitely strengthen our cross-country cultural exchange opportunities as well as among our own festivals.”

Born in Titlagarh, Odisha, Jitendra Mishra is one of the few Indian film producers and promoters who have been able to create a benchmark in ‘alternative methods of film production, distribution and promotion’ at international level. Committed to meaningful cinema, he has been associated only with socially relevant films made for children and youth that are a balance between the right content and creativity.

Mishra has already been associated with the production, distribution and promotion of more than 110 films in all categories. Many of them have received global acclaim and recognition.

He had been to the recent 71st Cannes Film Festival to launch the first look of the film The Last Color by Michelin Star celebrity chef Vikas Khanna. The teaser of the film was unveiled during the opening event of Cannes Producers Network on 9th May, 2018 at the festival’s official venue Plage des Palmes.
